EL ENCANTO COMMUNITY
Unique and unspoiled, Nicaragua is an enchanting place with uncountable opportunities for adventure. If the beach is your thing, then San Juan del Sur is where you want to be. Beautiful coastline stretches to the North and South along the Pacific coast, making for excellent day trips from El Encanto. When you have a free weekend venture further out to explore the volcanic island of Ometepe or head north learn about the coffee harvest in Esteli and Matagalpa.
Those who’ve heard of the Big Mac index may be interested in the “McD Model,” a relative measurement of cultural globilization. Put simply, fewer McDonald’s means less touristy and more culturally intact. In the case of Nicaragua, which has only 6 McDonald’s versus Costa Rica’s 50, it is clear where you should go if you’re looking for something new and different.
THE EL ENCANTO ECOSYSTEM
More than a lot. A way of living.
When you buy a lot or a home in El Encanto del Sur, you’re not just buying land. You’re joining a 20-year-old community in the hills above San Juan del Sur, with a school for your kids, a resort to gather at, and the Pacific coast on your doorstep.
EDUCATION
Tambran International School
“Where will my kids go to school?” Right here. In August 2025, Tambran International School moved into its permanent campus in the hills of El Encanto. It’s a bilingual school for Pre-K through 8th grade, accredited by Nicaragua’s Ministry of Education (MINED), and it is growing toward a full K–12 program.
HOSPITALITY
TreeCasa Resort
At the heart of the El Encanto village, just over the hill from our Sueños phase, TreeCasa is where the community gathers: canopy suites, a farm-to-table restaurant, pools, jungle trails and live performances. It’s also the best place to stay when you come to visit.
LIFESTYLE
San Juan del Sur
Minutes from town and its famous bay, with surf beaches stretching north and south along the Pacific. Back home, nearly 40% of El Encanto is kept as untouched forest, with trails for hiking and biking. Young and old, local and international, families and digital nomads: people come here to live, not just to invest.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Built for Everyday Life
El Encanto is a self-sufficient community, with power, internet and essential services in place, so you can live here full time, work remotely and raise a family. Roads and trails connect every phase, and San Juan del Sur is just minutes away.
School, community, nature and the beach. Everything a life here needs, in one place.
