Culture and Place
Most visit Nicaragua for the landscape. Much like Costa Rica, Nicaragua is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and twin coasts on the Pacific and Caribbean. In fact, it’s more like Costa Rica was 20 years ago: less commercialized and more open spaces.
However, the culture of Nicaragua is an often overlooked tourism opportunity. The traditional street food and seafood, the colonial architecture of Granada and Leon, the coffee and tobacco towns and ranches of Esteli and Matagalpa, and the idyllic, isolated Corn Islands; there are so many rich experiences to be had!
